Ashten's toe was pretty nasty but when the took the stitches out 5/28 the doctor said if he could do it then he could play ball. We had some players out and would have had to take an automatic out each inning against a good team and Ashten didn't want us to to lose so our brave boy put on his cleet and played ball!!! And played well I might add - he hobbled some and wasn't as fast as he normally is but even his handicapped run is faster than a lot of the boys - we won the game and his daddy proudly gave him the game ball!!!! He almost got a homerun too but as I held my breath watching another boy running towards him knowing he was going to slide his way into home - Coach Doug and Coach Daddy agreed to stop him at 3rd!!!!
The next day was Canyen's big 3rd birthday!!!! It was a blast - he was so cute when he really got it that it was his day!!! He would tell you "it's my birthday" - we had a Mickey Mouse firefighter cake, grandma and papa set up an obstacle course for the kids outside and then the big event - the Fire Truck came to our house!!!!!!! It was so cool - the kids played all of the truck and then for a grand finale they opened up the fire hydrant and let the kids play in the water!! It was really fun watching the kids have such a great time - the big boys however acted like they were a little too cool to play in the water and headed back upstairs to play come computer game! :) Canyen even got a special phone call from his Uncle Tim in Chicago and a text from Auntie in Phoenix!!!!
Hard to believe Can is already 3 - hard for him too - he keeps telling us he is really only 2 but then if asked if he is still a baby he quickly corrects us and tells us he is a big boy - then raises his arms up high and says "see I told you!" :)

I love the theme for Canyen's birthday party! The fact that you got a fire truck to come was Awesome and that they opened up the fire hydrant...what a memory he will have for the rest of his life! I am glad Ashten is feeling better. What a trooper!
