MY BOYS!: Disneyland 2009 !!!!!

After a pretty relaxing July we headed off for our vacation on August 2nd!! The boys were so excited and so were the parents! What's more fun than a week at Disneyland. We thought we might get tired of the park and possibly want to take a beach day but we were having so much fun the thought of not going back to the park never crossed out minds!!

We flew into Orange County and hopped on a bus to the Disneyland Hotel - just arriving to the hotel brought so much excitement - Canyen couldn't wait to see Mickey Mouse so we unloaded pretty quickly and headed to Downtown Disney for some lunch. We stopped at the Rain Forest Cafe for a quick bite - Canyen wasn't too sure about the "weally big gowilla" that was by our table and when he started pounding his chest during a rain storm I thought he might crawl under the table - but of course when we left he said he loved it! :)

It was onto Disneyland - our first ride was Finding Nemo - pretty cool submarine ride - got a little dark for the boys at one point but it was fun!! Next I think we were off to Buzz Lightyear which we probaby rode 3 times a day every day!! It's so much fun shooting the Zs and seeing who could get the most points - of course Kal smoked us all except for one time when I swear I got like 240,000 but it was only Canyen adn I on the ride and he couldn't really vouch for me and so Kal didn't believe it for a second! :) Next time I am taking a picture of my score!!! Ashten and Kal went on Space Mountain, Splash Mountain (about 10 times :)), Matterhorn Mountain (also about 10 times and named Ashten's favorite), the big train roller coaster and Star Wars Tours on their own since pregnant women can't ride (lame but I went along with the rule :)) and Canyen was too young for the big roller coasters. While they rode those Can I kept ourselves busy with frozen lemon treats, Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, the Carousel, Buzz and sometimes just chillin while Can caught a little nap!! The big guys joined us on all the little kid rides too and had just as much as fun as Canyen and I especially on the Toad one where he drives through London :) - and to their daddy's dismay they actually loved It's a Small World which I insisted that they take me on!!! Everyone went on Pirates of the Carribean (another one we hit at least twice a day every day!) and although Canyen was scared he was a big boy and just held my hands very tightly - daddy intensified it a little bit by referring to the 2 drops at the beginning as the "death drops!" :) Canyen told me when we got home the part that was "weally weally scawy was the death dwops!" - but what a trooper he was - he would jump off as if he hadn't been scared at all!! We also went over to California Adventure Park and saw Mickey Mouse Clubhouse which was a huge highlight for Canyen - they also saw their first 3D movie and it was the Muppets which they had never seen before! One of my favorites was the It's a Bug Life!!! We ate ice cream went to the street dance party twice, watch fireworks, watch Fantasmic, climbed Tarzans tree house lots of times, went to the Pirates Lair Island, rode both boats and had a great great time!! It was so awesome to spend an entire week with just our boys!! Can't wait to go back -

OH almost forgot - the best dinner we had was at Goofy's Kitchen - all the characters came to our table and took pictures with the boys, and the boys had a blast!!! Goofy even helped us find the bathroom! :)
